लगाए गए कड़े Western sanctions के बावजूद, international brands जैसे Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s और BrewDog Beer अभी भी देश की दुकानों में मिल रहे हैं।

Sky News की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, ये products अब सीधे इन कंपनियों के जरिए तो नहीं बेचे जा रहे, लेकिन rebranded या surrogate imports के ज़रिए Russian market में मौजूद हैं।

Coca-Cola: New नाम, वही स्वाद?

Russia ने जब Ukraine पर हमला किया, तो Coca-Cola समेत कई अमेरिकी कंपनियों ने Russian market छोड़ दिया था। लेकिन अब दुकानों में CoolCola, Dobry Cola जैसे products देखे जा रहे हैं, जिनका taste और packaging काफी हद तक Coca-Cola जैसा है।

Kellogg’s ने भी sanctions के चलते अपने operations बंद कर दिए थे। लेकिन अब Russian stores में फिर से दिख रहे हैं cornflakes boxes जिन पर branding local भाषा में है, पर visual identity वही पुरानी है।

यह सवाल खड़ा करता है कि क्या Kellogg’s के पुराने supply chains या franchisees अभी भी indirectly काम कर रहे हैं?

BrewDog Beer: Bold लेकिन बेनाम

UK-based beer brand BrewDog, जो खुद को anti-establishment और ethically strong दिखाता है, उसकी बीयर Russian दुकानों में दिख रही है। जबकि कंपनी का कहना है कि उसने Russia में distribution बंद कर दिया था।

Sky News के मुताबिक, यह supply या तो grey market के जरिए हो रही है या फिर पुराने distributors अब भी बिना brand की अनुमति के बेच रहे हैं।

क्या ये सिर्फ “Grey Imports” हैं?

Grey imports का मतलब है बिना company की permission के original products का import करना — जो कुछ देशों में illegal नहीं, लेकिन unethical माना जाता है।

Russia में कई विदेशी products इसी रास्ते से पहुंच रहे हैं — और इन पर control करना regulators के लिए मुश्किल हो गया है।

क्या इससे Sanctions का असर कमजोर पड़ा?

साफ है कि ये loopholes West के sanctions को कमजोर करते हैं। Russia में मौजूद consumers अब भी उसी lifestyle को enjoy कर रहे हैं जिसे West रोकना चाहता था।
